Who can ever forget the amazing “man in the Mirror” costume, worn by Michael when he produced the video for the fabulous number one hit, back in 1988. Produced by Quincey Jones, the man in the mirror single was taken from his seventh and best selling BAD album since performing solo after moving on from the Jackson five.  The uniquely designed and highly inspirational man in the mirror jacket is believed to be one of Michael’s personal favourites, as was the song itself which he loved so much. The actual lyrics are of course pure musical poetry and clearly tell of Michael’s obsession with self change and helping people in need. As we know, there have been very few artists in the last generation who have left such a huge impact on people both spiritually and physically, wether it has simply been through his music or personal appeal. This is why so many fans just love to wear michael jackson costumes, as it makes them feel so special and part of an army of music lovers who idolised the man.

Michael Jackson Man in the Mirror CostumeThis is a totally stunning Michael Jackson jacket, and one which is surely fit for any occasion and a legendary item which needs no introduction. The beautiful man in the mirror jacket itself is a highly impressive, high quality garment in faux leather, which can only remind your audience of one man. There will only ever be one Michael Jackson of course, but it’s feels amazing to wear these beautifully tailored replicas which are as close to the real thing as I have ever seen. So “if you wanna make the world a better place” and your wardrobe then do as I did and invest in this fabulous piece of memorabilia before they sell our for good. The actual man in the mirror jacket is perfectly re-created for us like the one above and is great to wear when you just want to impress fellow followers of pop music’s greatest ever performer.

Man in the Mirror actually re-entered the US charts in 2009, after Michaels’ untimely death and climbed to number two spot and an instrumental version of the track was played at his funeral where a single spotlight shone behind an empty microphone stand, to signal where Michael should have been.

Man in the mirror was also the final song in his “this is it” tour and was also sung brilliantly live by Whitney Houston one her most recent tour.

It’s a very sad but fitting tribute to our hero and that’s why this actual Michael Jackson jacket has fond memories for me as a life-long fan.
